i was told by someone that works at cingular that you can get the mediamax 200 and as long as you don't register your imei with them, you can use the data using that plan.

upon further investigation, if you have a PDA phone, you can use the mediamax plan as long as your browser is set to use the gateway wap.cingular.com instead of isp.cingular.com and i think you have to make sure the rep takes off the "PPU" (pay per use) media code or some shit
