You are thinking about it wrong. There is no ratio. All cars have power losses due to friction. That's why we have dynos. You never know what your car is putting to the wheels until you dyno it. With that said, for our cars, it's usually about 15-20%.


*I can't recall exactly, but I think only like 20% or something of the energy stored in gasoline actually makes it to the wheels. Food for thought.
