only 1 speaker is working, so went out and got new 6 1/2" speakers with shallow cone for the rears, but am wondering how to access them, is there a trick to removing the panel that covers the rear speakers?

has 108k km with no history, i would assume the timing belt has not been replaced, how long do these belts last? i know these cars are interference engines so i better do that right away.

Is there a weak spot on these cars i should be watching for, ie: common engine or transmission failures?
1) The same key should work. If the ignition switch on the steering column was replaced, then there are two keys.

2) Carefully pry the grey center cover off from the back. That will reveal the screws that hold the side panels in place. Then they'll slide out toward the front of the car.

3) Replace it. Don't take chances. Unless you know how to check the timing belt for wear.

4) Code 8 TDC sensor failure is very common. That would require a new distributor. The engines and tranny are pretty solid. Just keep up on the maintenance.
