5 speed cars gets signal to start the car through tach wire by you turning the ignition.
In your case i dont think so.. coz your's 95' OBD 1 doesn't have imobolizer(starter kill), so don't think your friend's friend would **** around with it.. coz there is nothing to do with the ignition while he install the alarm. (00+ OBD2V2 teg has immobizer funtion)
Reason why i said to check your tach is coz.. i went through the same problem after i did my auto to manual conversion + OBD1 ECU CONVERSION.. anyways, i will make it short.. after the swap, my car does not start with 5 speed at all.. but with my auto ECU doesn?? so thought taht might be from the ignition.. meaning the immoblizer function still operats after we took the ECU out? kinda immpossible but we did thought that might be it. nah~ wrong
so then we checked and checked.. thought that we might cooked the 95 ECU or soemthing so we pulled 3 cars in just to test.. but all cars started fine..and even my Skunk2 harness was right tooo..
Anyways, after a week or so.. i was driving home and got pretty mad coz of the car wont start with my 5 speed ECU.. so i kicked the panel~~ then result just a lose tach wire, so problem solved. ^^
Manual Transmission ---> Tach Sensing
Automatic Transmission---> Alternator Sensing
