Well, called a buddy. He suggested using "powdered graphite" on the tracks and joints to help lubricate. He said other lubricants such as WD-40 actually seize up in cold, this won't. It's in a small tube but am told a little goes a long way. Hope this works. Still want input if any one else has had this issue.
