Doing anything "all motor" related get really expensive in a hurry. I sunk $1000s of dollars into my last car and it still wasn't fast enough, didn't make the power I wanted, etc.

Do what Snoopy suggested and go for the b18c1. It will be great in an EG as is, you can do some standard bolt-ons, or if you really want to get crazy down the road you can boost it.
