there are 2 routes to go here ...
1. bulb conversion kit. This is where you take a "plug and play" kit and simply install the new bulb, and connect the provided ballast. These are effective and low cost ($500), but are quite a danger on the road.
Halogen lamps are not designed to handle the HID output and often blind on coming traffic without projector lenses. Beam patterns are jagged and shattered on the road.
2. retrofit. This involves removing the projectors off of another model car (Audi, Acura, Inifinity, etc) and custom fitting them into your stock housings.
This will create a razor sharp, controlled beam pattern.
Estimated cost? $1200+
