Sticking Clutch!
I have a STRANGE problem. I have a 92 VX that I've recently switched from a b16a turbo setup to a built b18c1 turbo setup, Hondata, the whole 9 yards. Anyway, I have an ACT clutch kit.
The car has been fine for the past three weeks until today. After tuning the car on the dyno today (made right at 310whp), the clutch pedal stuck half-way on a few releases. I could tell when this was going to happen because there would be no resitance until about half-way down when depressing the pedal. Then, to make things worse, there were a few times when pressing in the clutch barely disengaged the clutch, causing a bad "chatter" that could be felt in the pedal... eventually resulting in choking down (even though the pedal was fully depressed).
about 1 week ago I started getting that "loud squeak" when pressing the clutch pedal (from the seals in the master cylinder). The squeek soon turned into a sort of rubbing noise (like a plunger noise). Then the noise went away altogether, but with a sort of "notchiness" left in the clutch action.
I checked the inside of the car behind the pedal and it barely starting to leak... but is pretty wet around the dust boot. Could the above symptoms be a faulty clutch master cylinder even though it isn't leaking "badly" yet? Also, should I go ahead and replace the slave cylinder while I'm at it (that'll be a pain since it's partially behind my turbo)?
Help!
