I went to Montreal over the summer and they have a Marche Centrale, big outdoor food market in the city. Great food, no brand names, all either local grown or imported fresh.
EXCELLENT olive vendors and cheese vendors. We picked up like $20 worth of random food and went for a picnic on the mountain in the park. Blue cheese stuffed olives galore
