To the original poster: if you have actually been researching ebay turbos you will have read all of what has been said, there just NOT worth the hassle. If you want to go cheap, you can still get reliable from a junk yard set up. Go to homemadeturbo.com and do some research there and you can learn step for step and even find a shopping list of several different turbo builds.
I will say that some knock off stuff is pretty good on ebay, boost controllers seem to work pretty well regardless, and some (not all) of the cheap knock off blow off valves are just as good as the originals.
