i bought mine from hifi buys for like 110 and 90 to install because it is complicated and they need to permantly install a key so the ignition will read it. Mine is made by avital they only thing i dislike is that i have to unlock the car before startig or my alarm goes ****in nutz!

they make a transponder that copies the code in your key, and activates only when the remote starter is activated, so the anti-theft feature of it isnt totally defeated.
so when your car is remote started, someone can just hop in and drive it away?
the best remote start systems are the ones that are integrated into the alarm. ie, with the clifford intellistart 4, (which also works with manuals, w/o bypassing the safety switch), the alarm remains fully armed when the car is started, minus the shock sensor.
