I just got a short shifter from ebay and I noticed that it was different from my current one. The distance from the pivot point to the weighted ball is larger than the stock one (picture).

Well I decided to try it anyway, everything went good, the shifting is super tight now but I noticed on my way to work this morning when I get up to about 80, the shifter rod (rod comming from transmission) is hitting on the exhaust.

I guess my question is, where has anyone gotten one that has been the right size, or should I get an adjustable one, or should I just 'trim' mine down(j/k).
