Best solution for a hang over (which is a withdrawal from alcohol) is...alcohol. Bloody Marys work great.

Best way to not get a hangover is to make sure you have food in your stomach to more slowly distribute alcohol in your system so you don't peak then make sure to drink a lot of water in between drinks (you'll likely be pissing every 20 minutes) but flushing the system is very good for you. The most important part is don't be stupid - people binge drink themselves to death all the time. We almost lost a friend from alcohol poisoning from trying to "catch up" to the party b/c he was late. He got a gash on his head and wouldn't stop bleeding so we went to the hospital to find out his BAC was so high he was in danger of getting into a coma. They noted he may have died if not for us taking him to the hospital.
