ok, maybe i'm saying it wrong of using the wrong words/terms, but aren't there joints at the base of the strut where the spring rests, in that area isn't there a spot that is supposed to be greased? the hose on the grease gun fits there doesn't it?? I'm so lost, feeling kind of dumb right now. we filled them on the front of my dads cirrus the other day cause they were empty, the 'jackets' had no grease in them.

please help me if im stating things completely wrong.
