BTW if you want the honest truth on why it is curly, here is what I know about it.

Hair has insulating properties (we all know this). Curly hair on the other hand has a more controllable "R" factor (insulation rating). When it gets hot it allows air to pass through, when it gets cold it allows heat to be captured and held (not sure how).

Seeing as how the testicles are there to create and store sperm which is very temp sensitive curly hair becomes the obvious answer.
