I haven't had to worry about getting women since High School but I did pretty well back then. I would just talk to girls I was interested in all the time and act really interested in what they had to say (I'm pretty chatty so most of the time I was actually interested). Women really like feeling interesting and most of the time it has a reciprical effect. You act interested in them and they become interested in you. Now obviously this doesn't work with all girls and you have to be a little smooth but it really isn't hard. I try to stay away from stupid pickup lines and shit like that. I just act like my self and have a good time and the ladies seem to respond.
