berginr, i got the ecu this morning and that seems to have taken care of the 1508 iac problem but the 1361 tdc sensor still comes into play. if i clear the codes and start the engine and keep the rpm's at or above 3000 everything is fine but if i let them down at or below 2800 then the 1361 comes back and the surging comes back until i reclear and restart again. it's kind of like a fail safe in that anything above and idle you get the up and down and up and down and up and down but like i said only after you initially drop the rpsm's below 2800 if i were to keep it above that it's perfect.
