i installed the header on my 94 ex. there is a piece of piping about 3-4 inches long that had the o2 sensor on it. it did not screw into the lower collector piece on the exhaust manifold.
oh, that's because the ex comes from the factory with a header, not that restrictive cast iron manifold.
