You mentioned you use the car as a daily driver, College student budget, cheap turbo kit, junk , All of those criterias sounds like it will end a disaster.

I'd just enjoy the car, save enough money where you can afford to lose a motor and be okay. If not, You're going to regret trying to upgrade your car when you didn't have the funds to back it up... Trust me.

But... if you must, build your b16a1, That b18c5 bottom end could've been blown, warped, spun a bearing... who knows! it's a junkyard block.
