I tried the same thing on my 94ex. It didn't work. The antenna hole is oval shaped on the 5th gens and it is too big for a bolt head to cover. I just unplugged my antenna motor and shoved the antenna down. FM reception is OK but AM sucks (I am a sports talk radio listener). I may try the s2000 conversion.
