I've read that article and it's a good explanation of the L13A i-DSI and L15A VTEC engines for that car (the North American market gets the L15A VTEC engine).

It will be interesting to see what engine the next-generation Fit gets (latest rumor is that it will be unveiled in Japan May 2007). I expect most of the world will get a 1.5-liter i-DSI engine rated at around 90 bhp (SAE 08/04 net) standard, but the more advanced engine (which North American Fits will use as standard) will likely use the same SOHC i-VTEC valvetrain as the R18A engine on the current Honda Civic but in 1.5-liter form (I'm guessing about 117-120 bhp SAE 08/04 net output).
