ok heres the problem,

my 97 accord ex(stick) will hesitate when i push on the gas (kinda feels like hitting the fuel cut off) this happens at 2000rpm anywhere up to 4500. the car will not accelerate like it should...feels like something is clogged. just had my timing belt done but this problem was present before that. cleaned out the egr valve (i think i did it well enough) problem goes and comes. ive searched but no one else seems to have the exact same problem. i would say it is the clutch(kinda feels like when clutch #1 went) but the rpm's dont go up unproportionally to the engine speed, they(rpms) just stay.
