how awful, im so sorry about your situation! you are between a rock and a hard place. yours is a situation that would not be happening if we had universal healthcare in this country. healthcare costs in this country are one of the major reasons people file for bankruptcy insured or not.

when it comes to healthcare bill paying, according to suze orman, you can pay on the debt for 3 yrs then stop. the healthcare providers will write off the rest of the debt. they dont go after u after 3 yrs. pay the minimum as long as u send them something then stop. itll go on your credit report but who cares. when the debt gets written off and creditors/collection agencies contact u after the 3 yrs and write off. dont talk to them. collection agencies will call u and try to get u to repay it. legally they cant do that. do not agree to pay it back. u wont owe it. if u tell them u owe it or u will pay it back that starts the 3 yrs up all over again.
