Coincidentally, I have a 4th gen Trans am but started out with my crx with a b16a swap. After driving both cars, I get a sense of being nimble and light in my crx, but with my T/A, I get ALOT of low end torque and that rwd fun. b16s love to rev, and rev high(8K rpms), so it's still fun to drive my crx. I bet with a few more mods though(headwork, cams, tuning) I can smoke my T/A.
Pricewise, the b16a swap will set you back around 2k if you do it yourself (1500 for the motor,tranny,ecu,etc.; 300 for the mounts,+shipping). Get it from www.hmotorsonline.com
