By that time, you're looking at $1000 for 12-16 hp. And that figure assumes you've already ponied up the dinero for an exhaust header, intake and cat-back.
And if you're in a state that follows CA smog laws, the whole point is moot... because there are no CARB-certified cams for the B18A1.
If you found a set of 93 ls cams for free and they were in good shape, you could certainly try... but IMO, the B18A1 is not a stellar candidate for a naturally-aspirated build.
if you want to go n/a do a ls convo, still uses the b18a1 platform, w/ b16 head or gsr head if you can find it, more aggressive cams, a set of new gears and a dyno tune, you should be fine and not have to worry, seeing that money is no option of course
