Anyhoo, it is not as if I am offended by the sign, I just thought it was a horrible saying. To me, my ego is one of the most important things in life. It allows me to be an individual and to live how I want to live. The sign is pretty much saying that, "NO, it is NOT right for you to think for yourself! Let god do that for you!"
I, personally, like to think for myself. I honestly feel bad for whoever lives their life without an ego.
you took this sign totally wrong man, they arent saying live life without ego, they arent talking about everyone who acknowledges their ego. its a reference to people with inflated ego's that see themselves as superior.
an ego is not something you can live without, basically an ego is the awareness of ones self in reference to the rest of the world, i do believe we are all aware of ourselves
someone who is egotistical(sp) is someone who sees noone as superior to themselves therefore seeing themselves as higher than god...thats the message this sign was trying to relay
but i could see the misinterpretation
anyone with an unchecked ego would get pissy about it
