Be yourself Try to mentally prepare yourself for the position you're interviewing for by thinking of past experiences that show related abilities - like leadership, commitment, initiative, etc.

Think about your answers and don't be afraid to say that you don't know, or that you have no experience, or that you didn't understand the question.

I've found that humor always helps too - no one likes an asshole or something that they don't think would be a team player, so if you see an opportunity to crack a joke or share an amusing (short) story, do it. Make the interviewer feel like you could be his buddy.

Also, I always look at it as a chance to prove myself and show off my abilities, which helps me to not be nervous.
