The sad thing is it probably will. Lexus and Toyota seem like they can do no wrong. The LS460 will sell like crazy on reputation alone. And the American market has proven that it will pay a premium for Toyota/Lexus.
And look on the bright side... Toyota is keeping true to its' promise to raise prices in order to "help" the domestic automakers regain marketshare.

Why is that a sad thing? Lexus are superior cars and great values. Me personally, I doubt very much if I ever buy anything but Lexus, except if I'm ever able to afford a sports toy, then I'll look elsewhere.
