If you are going to boost, it doesnt matter what compression your motor is at. Youre going to have to buy new pistons and rods at the very least anyways. When you do that, you can change your compression to anything you want it to be at. If you are really going to boost, id say go with at least 9:1 compression so you have a little bit of power down low. Some people even go with 9.5:1 and even 10:1.
