hard to summarize, but i work for higher-ups and take care of their "paperwork". our firm gets hired out to clients such as anything gov't related (i.e. DoD, navy, etc.) as well as other companies. we have these "officers" who are really high up take care of negotiating w/ our firm's clients and getting stuff prepped so we can do work for whoever. well, i take care of entering in all the contractual stuff, which is a pretty massive amount of info
i have a total of 4 officers to brief that have been assigned to me. im in the middle of a mid-year assessment (only for first-year noobs. usually assessments are annual) and our firm requires we get feedback from about 20 people. well, one group sent in their replies and it was not good. they blamed me for everything, lol. ranging from all sorts of delays to lack of "client service"
total BS. i dont do everything on my own; i rely on a network of staff for each officer-base, and these guys that replied are already known to have not so responsive staff. so these delays or whatever else arent my fault. i hound them down and i get no replies...
so anyway, my manager sits me down yesterday w/ my other supervisor and tells me all of this. they think im incompetent and that by now (7 mos into the job) i should have a handle on things. but I DO. i dont understand why these jerks would call me out like that, almost like passing down the blame
the "future of my career" is on the line, as they say, and if i dont show any "noticeable improvement", then they may need to seek alternative routes for me. total crap. but see, this is more than just me making sure that i do my work. obviously, in these peoples' eyes im an untrustworthy worker who has a rep of being a mess. wtf
now ive got all eyes on me, cuz if these officers talk to the head honchos above MY dept, we're all screwed. its so unfair. :wtc:
sorry it was so long
