i don't like flash for content-driven sites. for simple multimedia sites, where there's not much text, but lots of visuals, flash is great. it works real well when you're just trying to be eye catching. it's also good for a title bar with animation, or some kind of intro movie. otherwise, it has its limitations. there's no back and forward buttons, unless you program that yourself into your flash file, no bookmarks, can't right click on links, etc
I don't know what you're talking about...I've been using flash + xml for content driven sites for a while now. I'm not real big into flash too much anymore, as i prefer PHP for most anything I do.
Learning a powerful scripting language such as PHP can greatly enhance and help streamline a site. Surprised no one else here mentioned it...guess you're all n00bs.
