If you're looking to spend that much money I would look into getting some sort of built motor. You'll get more power, more reliability, and yeah...those are good things.

So, your first step should be to click that little button at the top of this page that says "search" on it and check out past threads about this. Your second step should be to check out www.importbuilders.com and see what they can throw together for ya. I'd take a look at their Package 4 which is just a motor, costs $5900 shipped. Completely rebuilt LS/VTEC with Type-R pistons, new bearings, new seals, new oil pump, new water pump, new timing belt, new head gasket, new valvetrain, new type-R cams, new clutch, Type-R intake manifold and chipped ECU.

Should put down at least 170 whp and bolts right up to the transmission you've already got.
