the timing belt tensioner failed on my newly installed motor from a few months ago. I recently fried the rings and had a misfire in cyl#1 on f23 #1. on F23 #2 with less then 10K on the 20K motor with all new OEM honda belts and hoses, the timing belt shreaded because the tensioner failed. The shop that installed the engine called all the honda dealerships to see if they would do anything and their response to the broken part, "hey, parts break". I can't afford anymore downtime since I'm in a rental.(thank god for the employee discount) So I'm in the process of have F23 #3 installed. I can't afford to have another major part break on this car. I kind of have a formula, if I have to spend more than $2000/year on a car after its all paid for, time for a new car. I'm going to try to sell the car on my own, I'm thinking I could get $4-6K for the car. its in awesome shape for 160,000miles.
Yeah that's a whole lot of bad luck :happysad: Swap a J32A2/6speed in

I was pondering picking up an AV66MT this summer and drove maybe 4 or 5 used ones, all in the low 20k range but they all either had paint (backing into garbage cans and stuff) or interior (had dogs clawing at the perf leather) issues...but I've seen on autotrader/cars.com that o for under $20k if you're willing to travel and don't mind high mileage (you shouldn't)
