just for my information, did you install an alarm system / remote starter? I had the same issue with my 92 prelude after a few months of the installation. the headlights would come on whenever they please so in the morning I needed a jump. I took out all the wirring for the remote start and it never came back again.

If you've done any alterations to the wires on the steering column, check to see if they aren't fried.
