I won't lie to you...without turbocharging, it will not be easy to get another 50 horsepower out of a motor that already makes roughly 100 hp per liter of displacement. 230 hp divided by 1.796 liters comes to about 127.7 hp/ liter.

That kind of specific output requires very high compression, aggressive cams and high-octane petrol. You would be spending thousands of dollars to essentially rebuid your stock motor into a racing-spec engine.

To be honest, a K-series motor swap, if allowable under your laws, would be the most reasonable approach for making 230 hp.

The K20A has been successfully transplanted into the 94-2001 Integra and Civic. And from the factory it already delivers more than 210 hp.

Since you mentioned that reliability is essential, I think it would be wise to swap to a motor with higher output, if your laws allow it. :hs:

Lastly, welcome to Honda-Acura.net.

Thx cheers

I can put a better motor 200 cc more (max)... mine is 1797cc... so i can put 1997cc... a K20A motor would be fine...(To be honest i was going tp change my motor)but for me personaly i don't want to change my motor :P becauce here i'll need to do lots of things to change it legaly. Signing papper, running to sevaral places and really i'm not up to that so I would prefere not changing my motor.
