he is completely right.

you can spend 3k on a great computer setup, while fast and comparable to newer models the chips just don't match up (like how i'm missing some shaders on my x800, and even though it will whoop the hell out of a lower model x1 series with older games with newer ghames it just doesnt have the options (new shaders, and other optimizations, more pixel pipelines, etc...))


it's just not cost effective to keep up.
