The "unofficial" method to removing the dizzy from my car is to take a flat blade screw driver to it and hit it with a hammer to crack the bakelite plastic, take out the bits of remains. Then take a pair of vice grips to the little ultra soft screw that stripped out when you looked at it. Then replace the dizzy with a new one.

Even if you get the screw out, it's almost impossible to actually pull it off the end of the camshaft anyways.
