Anybody know anything about JPEG2000? With 1080p TVs starting to roll out, I would think any noise or characteristic JPEG distortions would show up pretty easily on the newest HDTVs.

Sounds like a great idea, though. As long as the implementation is cheap, easy-to-use, and reliable.
