I didn't even want to go there with the tweeters. I wonder if you could just snap away the covers off the top (probably not as that would be the easy way ) Anyway, they sound good enough for me with polk 5 1/4's in the doors. Unless you were to increase the volume on the tweeters I'm not sure they would have much of an impact anyway. They are awfully quiet compared to the door speakers. They are hooked up somehow to the front speakers, not seperately. And when you disable the front speakers manually, you can barely hear the tweeters at moderate volume. Maybe they just suck.....:shrug:
