ok try sanding off the paint with 100 grit paper. then after all the paint is gone sand it with 220 (i like the 3m yellow colored stuff, it cuts real well and leaves a smooth surface) from there it will look sanded. so get some wet sand paper and get to it. that should end up looking good. if you want a really nifty look...after you sand it with the 220, clearcoat it. let the clearcoat dry and then wet sand and buff (by hand or machine) it'll look wicked sharp.
