Default Timing Belt

Someone Help Me please!
My 1989 Honda Prelude is at 170k and i wanna change my timing belt myself for the learning process.
i read the manual and it says to disconect the ignition wire and engine wire harnes preotector before removing the valve cover but there are still two pipes that are still connected to the valve cover. one comes from the intake manifold chamber and another from the air flow tube. can i disconnect them without any dangers. im worried they may be fuel lines and i may need to relieve pressure.
what are those pipes?
ive looked all over the manual and it doesnt say anything about them.

also do i need to take out the spark plugs to remove the valve cover?

im a newb at this
