Most people lost power for 5 - 7 days, some for almost 3 weeks. People froze to death in their homes. All the power lines and towers went down. All the damage from the tree limbs breaking from the sheer weight of the ice.

yeah but the damage done was no where near the damage Florida gets every year. Alot of people died cuase they were idiots, BBQing indors is obviously not a good idea. And i dont remember seeing hundreds of houses being destroyed beyong repair by the ice.
Plus i was in Sherbooke, we didnt lose any power
