No. The US market B17A1 engine and YS1 transaxle is worth a fair bit more then the Japanese B16A and matching trans. "JDM" does not always mean "better," in fact many G2 GS-Rs have been ruined with weaker (relative to power output, that is) Japanese B16A swaps.

You are more generous then I would be. I see a B16A swapped GS-R as nothing more then a GS with a B16A swap, a cluster modification and a cheap pair of "VTEC" side mouldings. I guess I have a domestic "matching numbers" obsession.
