If your driving a 00 or 01 S2000, chances are you have gear backlash in the transmission. have your dealer apply Honda Service Bulletin 00-054 dated
27 November 2001. It corrects the problem by replacing a clutch disc in the transmission. I had it done on my 01, and it works fine now.
