Default Major B18 engine hang up to diagnose - please help

I’ve got my car – a Civic B18C1 in the shop right now getting parts fitted. The guys there are having a real problem getting the car to idle without screwing the adjustment up the stops and say it now runs worse than standard. Since they have put on several parts at once they don’t know where to start to find a problem and aren’t prepared to waste valuable time playing around until they know what to check. They are a well known race shop and have set up my chassis very nicely but are not true Honda specialists.

The engine has a standard bottom end and head, the CAI is an AEMV2, the throttle body is a 65mm Edelbrock, the inlet manifold is Skunk2, the cams wheels, retainers and springs are also skunk2, the cam is a Pro race stage1. There is also an adjustable fuel pressure regulator fitted and a full Supersprint manifold 4-2-1 and cat by pass system. All the gaskets and head bolts were replaced with new genuine Honda standard parts, the ECU is also standard - All that remains to go on is the Apexi AFC Neo.

I had hoped that this set up would take the engine from its standard 170bhp to ITR figures and still be street drivable with a good top end pull but apparently the mechanic describes it as flat as a pancake!!

To get my car back in a drivable state I need to give them an idea of what to change, adjust or throw away!

Will getting the NEO on help cure any fuel issues or have I chosen a load of crap parts which I’ll have to sell on ebay and go back to standard!!!

Experienced help or advice would be much appreciated. Otherwise any short cut to a similar, previous post is a plan B
