buuut ... seriously, picture yourself as a sundae ... sprinkles, cherries, chocolate syrup are all things that make the sundae better ...

but, the dessert is perfectly fine without them.




Lots of people "have to" have a significant other. When the relationship goes to shit, they can't function because to them, the relationship was the sundae ...
a good job with great pay was the cherry
a positive attitude and good personality was the sprinkles
a place of their own with nice things was the syrup


you gotta reverse your thinking, see relationships as an enhancement to your life, not the core of who you are.
