you can get a mid 90s chevy / gmc 1500 extended cab pickup with 5.7liter v8 for $2000-$4000 in decent shape...they'll tow with ease better than any Toyota except for the Tundra (but that's $20+ for a used one)...i'll be on the market for an old pickup as i need to tow a car & steel trailer
agreed. Never been too impressed with Toyota's ability to tow. Most of their engines are gutless.
Keep it light and the Toy should do O.K. Anything over about 4K pounds and you need a full size.
