i hear the same thing, but damn it, my side moldings are being shaved using fiberglass and bondo, and no problems. i did half of the work almost 9 months ago. no cracking nothing. looking perfect (well as perfect as half way finished work will look.)

gug did his the same way and it's been over a year nad no problems.
