First off, valves needing adjustment do not make a KNOCKING sound, where did you get that??
Knocking usually has to do with the crankshaft, because of the "massive" parts that are being rotated around. If one of these parts, with alot of mass (compared to a valve), strikes something else inside the block, you get a knocking sound, compared to a clicking sound that is typical of valves needing adjustment...
Second you don't have to get cocky with me... I wasn't sure that's why I stated it that way...
I stated "I do not belive" they have rockers, which translates to "I'm pretty sure they don't" do u get it???

Besides I said "like the d-series" meaning, from memory I know that the B-series cams sit directly on the cam followers (as haynes calls them) (some people call these rockers?) , which translate the motion directly to the valves, unlike a d-series which uses "rocker arms" to translate the cam motion to the valves BECAUSE THE CAM SITS IN-BETWEEN the intake and exhaust valves, not DIRECTLY on top...

So, since I am going strictly from memory, I'm sorry if I confused you about the terminology, from my perspective the term rocker meant the use of the same architecture as a d-series has, namely "rocker arms"...

Besides, chill out with the flaming... I've done PLENTY of work on both engines...
