if its an aftermarket alarm then you will use all aftermarket pieces to setup the keyless entry, door switches, alarm, whatever else
the stock keyless entry and alarm for 96-98 civics waslocated on the head unit, although i dont think the head unit for a cx had it
different radios were used in the lx/ex/hx and the cx/dx/vx
enjoy keyless, i have a 97 ex and fried my radio so none for me right now
